After studying drawing, painting, and graphic design at the University of North Texas, I decided that it was time to venture out and start my own small design business. I began selling my works of art to various people through church, functions and charity events. One day I envisioned creating a cool fashionable purse that I had never seen created or manufactured and an idea blossomed. I used a perfume box, glued some of my watercolor paintings to the box and voila! - I was on to something! People started noticing my original one-of-a-kind creations and wanted to know where I bought them. I finally decided to approach boutiques to carry my works of art. To my surprise many of the stores that I A year passed and I decided to pursue another venture- jewelry making. Before I knew it, it had evolved into a full time hobby/job. Everywhere I went, people wanted to buy my jewelry and purses right off of me. At that point I realized that others were as excited about wearing my artistic creations as I was making them. Over time, my love and talent for fashion accessories began to mature. I taught myself how to sew and add more complex designs to my bags. One day, I decided to contact Duncan Enterprises and let them know what I was doing with their products. I emailed them my website and boom we started a wonderful relationship from there. They loved my work so much that they asked me to be one of their "Celebrity Designers" at the 2007 Winter CHA. I had a blast and met some wonderful people. My faith in Christ has sustained and grounded me. I love the Lord so much that I find his Word radiating through my works of art. Through my passion, the Lord has given me the gift of communication, creativity, a strong sense of self and a love for people, especially my husband, son Bayley, and daughters, Bella and Jolie. My husband Shane has encouraged me to follow my dreams and reach for the sky.
